BioSistemika is a specialised Slovenian software development company creating digital solutions for laboratory environments and the healthcare industry. The company is building custom software for laboratory instrument manufacturers, diagnostic labs, pharmaceutical companies, and life sciences organisations—delivering everything from IVDR-compliant medical device systems to digitalisation platforms that streamline laboratory workflows.

For the past four years, I have worked closely with the company as their UI/UX design partner, contributing to:

• transforming complex laboratory workflows and scientific data into regulatory-compliant (IVDR, 21 CFR Part 11) user experiences

• designing high-fidelity UI mockups for desktop, tablet and web applications and custom digital solutions

• developing internal products for qPCR analysis and digital pipetting

• building tailored design systems and managing libraries

• preparing interactive prototypes for usability and A/B testing

• working alongside life sciences experts, developers, and product teams

• leading Figma workshops

Additionally, I'm involved in designing the user interface for DATANA, the company's groundbreaking internal project that leverages patented DNA-based technology to revolutionise data storage. The product enables encoding and decoding of large amounts of digital data. The company's DNA-encoded messages are travelling to space in 2026.
